An impressive win over the Bills on the road is certainly an excellent way for the Patriots to be going into their Week 6 matchup against the Saints this Sunday. It is not exactly what was expected, as nearly every analyst and fan assumed the Patriots were going to lose to the reigning divisional champions.

But they are now set for a stretch in their schedule against teams they should very easily beat, starting with the Saints in New Orleans.

Going into the game, they are considered the favorites, especially after how they played against perhaps their toughest opponent to date last week.

However, Patriots players are not overlooking the 1-4 Saints. Even Stefon Diggs exclaims that this might be their biggest test to date, not the Bills, despite the significant difference in expected difficulty from each opponent.

Stefon Diggs has the right mindset to share with his teammates ahead of the Patriots' game vs. the Saints

Although their victory against the Bills has revitalized the fanbase and likely the team, the Patriots are still not built to be consistent winners just yet, which probably explains their mindset going into this week's matchup with the Saints.

Diggs is leading by example, emphasizing how crucial it is for them to keep their winning streak going. They should not overlook their next opponent and must remain consistent with their performance over the last few weeks, minus the turnovers, of course.

This is exactly the kind of mindset that Mike Vrabel has wanted to instill on the team this year, and is very reminiscent of how Bill Belichick would approach things, too.

While the win against the Bills is noteworthy and impressive, they cannot become complacent or arrogant, even as they head into a stretch of the schedule that consists of games against losing teams (Saints, Titans, Browns, and Falcons).

Their season could very easily get derailed if they treat last week's win like a bigger deal than it really was, as it was only a regular-season win and nothing more. It's worthy of being celebrated, but they need to look ahead to their next opponent, and the Saints cannot be downplayed, even if they haven't looked competitive so far this year.

They did win their first game last week against the Giants, and although that might not be the most impressive feat given how poorly the Giants have played this year, it's still the NFL, and anything can happen on any given Sunday.

That's what makes Diggs' comments that much more important, and because he has quickly become a leader in the locker room, he is surely sharing that mindset with the rest of his teammates. That will set them up for success this week and beyond, and hopefully, they can string together several wins to go into November with a winning record.
