Maybe he's not the guy most Patriots fans were screaming for online, but there's a lot to like about their second-round pick, Ja'Lynn Polk, and his competitiveness is definitely one of them.

Leading up to Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft, players who remain on the board will typically relax and spend time with their families, hoping to celebrate accomplishing their dream at some point during the evening.

But Polk was instead working out with a highly respected receiver trainer, working alongside current Texans pass catchers as well.

Is there anything better than seeing your favorite team's newest player focusing on improving his game just hours before he was drafted?

Considering the bad luck New England has had in the past, seeing the newest addition to the receiving corps continuing to train through the draft process gives quite an excellent impression to those unfamiliar with his game.

Polk is expected to be a weapon for Drake Maye for years to come, mainly when reflecting upon how well he did during his time at Washington despite the players he was playing behind (Jalen McMillan and first-round pick Rome Odunze).

Regardless of the competition for snaps, he still recorded over 1,000 yards and impressed with his contested catch ability, something the Patriots were looking for after releasing DeVante Paker earlier this offseason.

On top of it all, his work ethic will be a leading factor in taking him far in his NFL career, especially with the Patriots. If this video is any indication of what's to come from Polk, it's going to be fun to watch him on the field this upcoming season.
