The New England Patriots were on the verge of losing in regulation to the one-win Tennessee Titans. Rookie quarterback Drake Maye ensured that wouldn't happen (at least not in regulation).

With the clock ticking down to zero and the Patriots trailing 17-10, Maye took the snap and danced around for a bit in the backfield. The Titans defense finally came after him and took him down but not before Maye got the snap off. The ball went sailing into the end zone where Rhamondre Stevenson caught it to give the Patriots six points.

The play was incredible, as Maye reportedly had 11.82 seconds to uncork that pass to Stevenson. Of course, this play would have been cooler if the Patriots won it in regulation, the touchdown and following extra-point only ensured that the game went to overtime but hey, it was still a cool moment and showed the athleticism of Maye.

Listen to Jason Benetti's call of Drake Maye's TD pass

On the call for the Patriots/Titans game was Jason Benetti, who had quite the commentary for this phenomenal play. Listen for yourself.

"Drake Maye for the game. Padding the ball. Maye, scanning. Loads of time. He'll roll, he'll run. A side-step. He's ready to throw, nobody's open! Into the end zone, touchdown! Oh my goodness! Stevenson and Maye with an absolute jewel of an effort!"

There's the entire call for ya, Pats fans. Unfortunately, the Patriots went on to lose the game in overtime with Maye throwing an interception to end the game but without his heroics on this play, the game doesn't go to overtime in the first place.

It was a crazy play and hopefully we see more magic from Maye that can lead to Patriots victories down the road. This was a disappointing loss but the development from Maye on just that one play alone shows that maybe the team is on the right track here. They shouldn't have even been in position to win the game near the end of the fourth quarter but he helped them force overtime.
