Check out Cam Newton’s first official practice with the Patriots.

If fans in New England thought that their day couldn’t get any better after viewing Cam Newton in a full Patriots uniform for the first time, well, they are probably going to be proven wrong after this.

On Wednesday, the Patriots held their first official practice of training camp — which, of course, was available to reporters — meaning that we got to see Newton take the field with his new teammates in organized fashion for the first time since he signed with the franchise on June 29.

To start, we have something simple but just as iconic: the 31-year-old quarterback getting the ball rolling under center at his first-ever practice with New England.

The three-time Pro Bowler could then be seen partaking in a series of stretches with the Patriots’ other quarterbacks.

As expected, Newton was jamming to the music that was being played through the loud speakers.

Newton feeling comfortable enough to unleash some dance moves moments into his first practice session with the Patriots is something you can inject right into our veins.

Fans can watch the complete coverage of the session, which is close to 30 minutes long, in the tweet below. It’s worth noting that the former MVP doesn’t make a ton of throws, but the footage provided should be more than enough to satisfy the compiled hankering of Patriots Nation.

It was a long time coming, folks.

While the workout clips from Newton’s private throwing sessions with wide receivers like Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu, as well as other teammates, offered more fireworks, there’s something about the Patriots’ first official practice of camp that hits way different.

We look forward to getting these bizarre updates in bits for the next few weeks — Belichick extreme social distancing in a mask? Yes, please — and loving every minute of semi-normalcy.
