2. Vince Wilfork

If there was ever a player whose overall contributions weren’t defined by statistical production, it was Vince Wilfork, who should be regarded as one of the greatest defensive tackles/nose tackles in NFL history.

Fans in New England wouldn’t hesitate to admit that he was the heart of the defense for their championship-less stretch from 2005-2013. The Patriots did win a Super Bowl in his rookie season in 2004, but he didn’t play a major role on that team.

Across 11 years with the franchise, Wilfork won two rings and was a five-time Pro Bowler. Again, his role was to eat up space for pass rushers and linebackers, not to pad the stat sheet.

True fans recognize how pivotal he was to what New England did on defense and he is fully deserving of being inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.
