3. Can Michel and Gronkowski be replaced?

Sony Michel has been the most consistent player for the New England Patriots offense all season. Even though Rob Gronkowski has not had the most dominant season thus far, he is still an intimidating presence on the line of scrimmage.

So, if something happens within the next few days, how will the New England Patriots replace these two players?

James White has been more than capable of being relied on when duty calls. He will most likely be the top guy in the backfield even though his strength is not running the football but receiving out of the backfield.

Other than White, there are no other running backs capable of filling Michel’s role despite having Kenjon Barner to share the load with White.

Replacing Gronkowski probably won’t come from another tight end as Dwayne Allen has not been used much this season. This is all depending on whether or not he can go Monday night against the Bills. Edelman, Hogan, Cordarelle Patterson and Josh Gordon will be called upon to possibly fill Gronkowski’s shoes.
