New England Patriots team grades vs Buffalo Bills Week 13
The Patriots special teams had a good afternoon against the Bills. Some aspects of the special teams were relied upon more than others, but they all got the job done when called upon.
Stephen Gostkowski continues to get the job done kicking. Gostkowski knocked through his three field goal attempts against the Bills, running his consecutive made streak up to 10. He connected from distances of 50, 39 and 31 yards. Settling for field goals inside the red zone is frustrating, but Gostkowski at least made the most of them. He also made both of his extra point attempts.
Ryan Allen was called upon three times to punt and did well. He landed one punt inside the 20 and did a great job of keeping the ball away from the Bills return man. Buffalo didn’t record a punt return.
The Patriots didn’t find much success returning punts either, but new Patriot Bernard Reedy returned his one punt return for 11 yards. Rex Burkhead had the sole kick return and managed to gain 17 yards.
