Comeback Player Of The Year

Darrelle Revis-Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Revis suffered a knee injury in week two of the 2012 season, and missed the rest of the year. He is now no longer a New York Jet, but he will return as the best cornerback in the NFL. There is really is nobody like Darrelle Revis in today’s NFL. His ability to simply eliminate the opposing teams top receiver is truly unbelievable. What gets lost amid the hype surrounding Revis’ talents that allow him to lock his opponents down, is his playmaking abilities. Revis has made quite a few big plays over the years, and that is another very good skill that he brings to the table.

With Revis sidelined for most of last season, Seawhawk Richard Sherman claimed to be the best corner in the league. Obviously Revis didn’t like that, and Revis will come back with a vengeance in 2013. His new team, Tampa Bay, was the defense in 2012 in terms of passing yards allowed, and I think that Revis will turn this unit into a top 10 or 15 defense solely because he is now present on that football field. That is how talented I believe Revis is, and he will bounce back from his knee injury flawlessly.
