New England Patriots fans who remain committed to soaking up every bit of information and celebration about the peerless football career of Tom Brady are in luck, as a film is in the near future that will serve as the definitive retrospective of his rivalry with fellow all-time great Peyton Manning.

A documentary adaptation of Gary Myers' 2015 "Brady vs. Manning" book has officially been picked up, giving Patriots, Colts, and general NFL fans alike an even more in-depth look at the rivalry that defined a generation and set such a high standard for quarterback play that it might never be topped.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the documentary, produced by Winter State Entertainment, will feature "exclusive interviews, archival footage, and detailed storytelling to examine the fierce competition and friendship between the two athletes."

Perhaps this documentary could finally serve as a definitive argument that ends the back-and-forth debate over which player is greater.

Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning rivalry will be highlighted in new documentary

Brady vs. Manning was the latest avatar of the "stats vs. wins" quarterback argument that has captured hearts and minds for as long as football has existed.

It was Johnny Unitas vs. Bart Starr in the 1960s, Dan Marino vs. Joe Montana in the 1980s, and these two titans in the 2000s and early 2010s. Perhaps Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are carrying this particular torch today.

In his prime with the Indianapolis Colts, Manning often put up superior stats and earned more individual accolades with better supporting casts, but Brady's Patriots often found themselves in Super Bowls at Manning's expense.

Brady's unparalleled longevity helped him last long enough to get a statistical edge over Manning as well.

The dichotomy between the two players is fascinating. Manning was a No. 1 overall pick engineered from birth to be a top quarterback on the back of his masterful command of an offense, while Brady was a sixth-round underdog who hung with and overcame Manning through laser-like precision in the pocket.

Brady's career accomplishments exceed those of Manning, but the argument over who is better hasn't truly died down.

Despite the pair standing in each other's way as their respective biggest obstacles to individual success, the two have maintained a cordial friendship off the field, and Myers' book explores that as well. Patriots fans who can't get enough Brady content should find some very interesting anecdotes in this doc.
