Since it was announced that the New England Patriots were signing wide receiver Stefon Diggs, there were a lot of takes from analysts and fans about how he would be a fit on the roster, particularly under the new leadership of Mike Vrabel. Most of the concern came from his previous tenure with the Bills and even further back with the Vikings, both of which he forced himself out of at the end.
Given that the Patriots became very familiar with Diggs and his apparent antics during his time in Buffalo, fans were worried he would bring that kind of attitude to the locker room and disrupt the new culture Vrabel was trying to establish.
But he's been far from problematic for the team and has actually been one of the best and most vocal leaders, especially for the younger players. He has been everything the locker room needed and more, and he has spoken at length about his maturity when questioned about his change in demeanor.
As one of the oldest receivers on the team, he's taken that role seriously and has spoken about approaching this season in a way the team needs.
Stefon Diggs has become the voice of the Patriots' receiving corps that they very much needed
While speaking to reporters earlier this week, Diggs emphasized just how close the receiving corps is and how important it was for him to be a positive influence for the players around him, especially guys like Kayshon Boutte and DeMario Douglas.

Not only has Diggs been the leader the Patriots needed, but he's also come up big in some of their most important games during the season, and they'll need that from him against the Seahawks on Sunday.
He didn't put together one of the more memorable seasons of his career in 2025, particualrly statistically, but he has earned the trust of Drake Maye and has been the boost the offense has needed in key moments. That's something we'll hopefully see in the Super Bowl.
