Over the past week, analysts, fans, and former NFL players have made their bets on who they believe will come out the winner of Super Bowl LX, and unfortunately for New England, the majority have their money on the Seahawks.

One of the latest former players to share that same feeling about the upcoming game is longtime running back and 2005 MVP Shaun Alexander, who is mostly known for his impressive tenure in Seattle.

Although he has pledged his allegiance to his former team, he did send them a bit of advice ahed of the big game, and it's certainly something they'll want to hear, even if the fans, and some analysts, are pretending as if what he said won't be a problem for the defense in the Super Bowl.

Shaun Alexander doesn't want the Seahawks to overlook the Patriots' offense

During a recent appearance on "Up & Adams," Alexander spoke about picking the Seahawks to walk out with the Lombardi Trophy, but made sure to send a message to his former team about not overlooking a key aspect of the Patriots, despite the ongoing narrative surrounding the roster: the offense.

While defending Drake Maye's performance in the playoffs, Alexander also reminded the Seahawks not to overlook the quarterback's position and not to take the Patriots' offense for granted, even though that is the current trend.

“I do have this little nervousness about the Seahawks because Drake’s in the same situation Ben Roethlisberger was when they played against us. And so, I’m going to say to the Seahawks several times, don’t take the offense for granted.”

Based on all the talk about the Patriots going into this game, it's clear the offense is being overlooked because the defense has played at such a high level over the past month.

That's certainly noteworthy, but there's a reason that Maye was in the MVP conversation, and although he hasn't played at the level necessarily in the playoffs so far, there's no reason to rule it out in the Super Bowl.

If he can replicate that kind of play, then the Patriots' offense will create a lot of problems for the Seahawks that they might not be prepared for, especially if they're already overlooking what they can contribute.
