Throughout the 2025 season, Drake Maye consistently proved just how good he is and will be for the Patriots for a long time, and that was met with him becoming a frontrunner for the MVP Award alongside 17-year veteran Matthew Stafford.

Although he likely won't win it, he at least will be playing in the Super Bowl while the presumed winner will be watching at home.

Unfortunately, however, his MVP campaign has taken a massive hit in the eyes of analysts and fans due to his struggles in the playoffs.

Despite being in just his second season and facing a gauntlet of the top-5 defenses on the road to the Super Bowl, Maye has been scrutinized to a level that is becoming unfair, and there doesn't appear to be an end in sight since most are choosing the Seahawks to blow out the Patriots for the Lombardi Trophy.

In an effort to level out the playing field and bring the detractors back to reality, Kay Adams shared one of the best takes about Maye's postseason performance that all NFL fans need to hear, specifically those outside New England, as she speaks all facts, whether they like it or not.

After hearing all the nonsense across the NFL world regarding the Patriots' "unexciting win" over the Broncos in the AFC Championship, Adams took to her show to share the reality of Maye's performance and why he did exactly what he needed to do to get his team to the Super Bowl.

That's all that matters at the end of the day.

The rise of social media has made us all become couch coaches, and sometimes to a fault. Many rely heavily on the box score, but that lacks serious context.

Watching the Patriots against the Broncos would have shown exactly why Maye didn't have the best game of his career, and why the No. 1 seed struggled to do much of anything beyond the first impressive drive that ended with a great touchdown pass from Jarrett Stidham.

But because Maye has become a household name this season, it's easy for those outside New England to diminish what he's accomplished and count him out, despite the fact that he's reached the Super Bowl in just his second season, the first of his draft class.

It all goes back to the league not wanting to see the Patriots succeed, and the idea that they have found the true successor to Tom Brady just five years after he left the team is a reality that is too difficult to bear, so now they're taking that negative energy out on a very likable player.

Regardless, the Patriots will be appearing in their 10th Super Bowl of the last 25 years, and that's something they can't take away. Maye has a chance to become the youngest quarterback to ever take home a Lombardi Trophy, and he's proven beyond any doubt that he's capable of doing just that, no matter what is being said about his postseason performances so far.
