The 2025 New England Patriots were not expected to win 14 games, win the AFC East, or represent the conference in Super Bowl LX, as expectations for a second-year quarterback and first-year head coach led most to believe it would be another building-block season.
Despite that, they defied expectations and looked primed and ready to win their seventh Lombardi Trophy, only to deliver the worst performance of the season, allowing the Seahawks to win in blowout fashion.
Because of that, it didn't take long for some Seattle players to rub in the win to reporters and on social media, with Nick Emmanwori being the biggest name to take on the duties of trolling his Super Bowl opponent in a way that only Patriots fans would understand.

It hits you right in the feels, doesn't it?
Considering this was a rallying cry for this year's close-knit team, something they used to take ownership of the underdog status and continue to prove the naysayers wrong, it was a great job by Emmanwori to make an immediate impact to mock the Patriots in the best way possible.
The Patriots can use their painful Super Bowl loss for good during the 2026 season
The season might be over now, and they have plenty of other things to focus on with free agency starting in just under a month, but Emmanwori's post is certainly something the Patriots can use as bulletin board material next year.
Although they might not have to face Seattle any time soon, as they're not on the 2026 schedule, being mocked by your championship opponent in this way can leave a lasting impression and take advantage of those feelings to get even better.
Fortunately, most of the team will remain together next year, unless Vrabel and Co. make some unexpected roster changes, since only a handful of players are set to hit free agency.
So that means they'll be on track to make another Super Bowl run next year, as long as they make the necessary upgrades at key positions in the offseason.
They have the cap space and draft picks to easily accomplish that, and based on how they fared last year, having 11 rookies remain on the game day roster and free agents becoming superstars in short order, they should be able to easily get it done, not to mention, players will view New England as a desirable destination again, even with a Super Bowl loss.
