If anyone had said at the start of the season that the New England Patriots would represent the AFC in Super Bowl LX, it's hard to imagine many would believe them. If those same people then said that Tom Brady wouldn't be openly supporting his longtime team, and the franchise that he officially retired with and had his team Hall of Fame enshrinement fast forwarded, they might have believed you less.

Unfortunately, that's the reality that we're living in, just days before the Super Bowl clash between the Patriots and the Seahawks, a championship rematch 10 years in the making.

The FOX Sports analyst and minority owner of the Raiders has not been as supportive of the Patriots over the past year, and there are several rumored reasons attempting to explain that from Brady's inability to speak highly of another AFC team due to his ownership all the way to the legendary quarterback not being pleased with Drake Maye succeeding so early in his career and potentially "overshadowing" his legacy in New England.

His recent comments suggesting he "has no dog in the fight" when discussing the upcoming Super Bowl have really rubbed Patriots fans the wrong way. They have taken to social media to share, and now we're hearing from current players, too.

Robert Spillane joins Patriots fans with frustrated feelings over Tom Brady's lack of support

While speaking to reporters on Thursday morning, Spillane was asked directly about Brady's lack of support for the team going into the Super Bowl.

Although he never played with the quarterback, Spillane was visibly bothered to hear that he wouldn't say more openly about the Patriots, putting it plainly: "personally, it makes me sick."

If that's not a good summarization of how many Patriots fans are feeling, then it's hard to say what would be.

It's incredibly disappointing to hear from Brady, especially since they are a winning team again, and most of the conversation surrounding their 2025 season and chances of winning their 7th Lombardi hasn't been all that complimentary.

Brady could be the leading voice of support in their fight against a very good Seattle team this Sunday, but instead, he has decided not to take much of a stance, which speaks volumes and suggests he might be favoring the Seahawks.

Maybe he will change his opinion as the big day gets closer, but it still won't take back what he's been saying over the past two weeks, and clearly, it's even taken a toll on the roster, too.
