Throughout the twenty years of unmatchable domination by the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick-led Patriots dynasty, the media and fans have debated who should be more credited for the team's longevity of success.

Many boiled it down to one was the mastermind behind it all, who is a football encyclopedia that the National Football League has never seen, so surely he is the foundation of their winning.

Others felt there was no reason to believe it wasn't the quarterback since he was the one on the field, making the final decisions and performing at a high level in each and every game.

The vast majority of those who witnessed the Patriots dynasty firsthand felt it was necessary to credit the pair equally because it seemed clear they were a match made in heaven. Belichick and Brady worked well together, and because of that foundation of respect and passion for the game, it translated into two decades of never-before-seen winning.

The debate surrounding the legendary duo became even hotter once things went downhill in New England and sparked even more conversation once Brady won another Super Bowl with the Buccaneers.

But no matter how convoluted the media and 31 other fanbases want to spin it and rewrite history, Belichick and Brady have made it clear again that they know the truth of the matter, and the debate was settled once and for all at the quarterback's Hall of Fame enshrinement on Wednesday.

Tom Brady officially ends long-winded debate at Patriots' Hall of Fame ceremony

Of the dozens upon dozens of current and former teammates of Brady's in attendance for his legendary evening earlier this week, perhaps the most anticipated of all was Bill Belichick, who was fortunately set to speak at the event.

Because their relationship had been highly speculated to be far from pleasant, it was just the latest example of the truth not being reported.

The former head coach gave an impactful speech about his time with the Patriots, and he was met with minutes-long cheers from those in attendance.

Brady matched that by single-handily ending any controversy about their respect and relationship since departing the team four years ago with a heartfelt shoutout to his longtime coach during a 30-minute speech to end the evening.

“To Coach Belichick. Thank you for your tireless commitment to develop and push me to be my very best. It wasn’t me. It wasn’t you. It was us. Our hard work, our love of the game, and the way we worked for one another, that’s what it was all about. Let me make this crystal clear. There is no coach in the world I would rather play for than Bill Belichick. To the countless coaches, every single one of you, the assistants sitting here tonight that are not here tonight, the personnel executives and scouts, including Scott Pioli, Charlie, Josh, and Billy, to name a few.

We spent so many hours in the hallways of this stadium, so many early morning meetings and late night conversations. I know I’ll go down as your least demanding, most even keeled player you ever coached. I hope you enjoyed the time while it lasted."

That couldn't be more clear, right?

It would be nice to believe Brady's statement would end any ridiculous arguments regarding the Patriots' success during his time with the team, but we know it won't.

The good thing about it all, and perhaps the only meaningful part, is that Patriots fans are thankful for both Belichick and Brady for all their hard work, dedication, and contributions over the last 20+ years, making what anyone else thinks or feels irrelevant.
