This week was an exciting week for millennials and some who are part of generation Z. It was announced that Usher will headline the Apple Music halftime show. As many people can't wait to listen to their childhood music on the biggest stage, Apple has also done something else. They have added playlists dedicated to each team based on songs each team has selected.

The Patriots playlist is interesting. There are some songs on there that are surprising, and then some that felt like they would've been guaranteed if it was Apple making this playlist. Music is a big part at practice, and can help players pump themselves up. So with that being said, what are the songs on the Patriots playlist?

To start off, the first song is "All I Do Is Win" by DJ Khaled featuring T-Pain, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross. This song is definitely a pump up song and it applies to the Tom Brady era of the Patriots. The next song is the classic Dropkick Murphys song, "I'm Shipping up to Boston". This song is a staple in every sports team in the state of Massachusetts. Additionally, this song is great at weddings, parties and of course at the stadium and at practice.

Now for the songs that were surprising to see. The first one is "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon. This upbeat pop song doesn't exactly scream football. It screams high school prom more than anything. The next surprising song is "Holy Grail" by Jay-Z featuring Justin Timberlake. The reason why this is an odd choice is because of the meaning of this song. The meaning of this song is Jay-Z's struggle internally with being famous. The only way this song can be related to football and the Patriots is if the Lombardi trophy is looked at as the holy grail (which it is in the NFL).

To finish off the highlights of the Patriots playlist, there are two songs that are played nearly every time at Gillette Stadium. The first is the classic rock classic "Crazy Train" by the legendary Ozzy Osbourne. The Patriots run out of the tunnel every home game to this song so it makes sense that this song was included. Then there's "This is Our House", by best friend of Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft, Bon Jovi. When the Patriots score, this song is played. The playlist wouldn't be complete without it.
