Players not named Mac Jones crucial to Patriots' success in 2023
2. Rhamondre Stevenson, RB

One thing that I am willing to run to the bank with is the Patriots being a run-first team in 2023. I truly believe they are going to run the absolute snot out of the ball. They invested in the RB position this offseason, signing former 1,000 yard rusher James Robinson to a $8 million deal.

They also have Rhamondre Stevenson entering his third year in the NFL. He rushed for over 1,000 yards on 5.0 yards per carry last year. If the run game is somehow not what we expect or Stevenson and Robinson underperform, the offense may have to rely more on the passing game, which worries me.

The one thing about the offense I feel confident in is the run game. However, there's always a chance that it doesn't play up to standards. The passing attack may need to carry more weight, and I just cannot fully trust Mac Jones, JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, and others to carry that weight until they prove they can.

Stevenson has every opportunity to breakout in 2023, and if he doesn't, the Patriots could be in huge trouble.
