Let's break down some pieces of news coming out of the New England Patriots as we progress through the 2023 NFL Season. We are now entering the portion of the season where the draft board and playoff picture begins to take shape. Mac Jones has done nothing to keep that job, and there are two other passers on the roster who are good enough to start a game or two. We'll see as we progress later in the week who ends up taking the bulk of the reps.
I don't think Mac Jones needs to be in the lineup going forward. It's time to move on. Just look at the New York Jets benching Zach Wilson earlier this week.
