Patriots Day 3 picks: When does New England pick next?
The final day of the 2024 NFL Draft is finally upon us and the Patriots have plenty of roster holes to continue filling.
Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf have done an excellent job addressing the most crucial positions that need improvement thus far by selecting QB Drake Maye, WR Ja'Lynn Polk, and OT Caedan Wallace.
Several good players remain to choose from, which will be helpful in their efforts to continue focusing on the offense while also addressing some of the weaker areas on the defense.
When do the Patriots pick next in the 2024 NFL Draft?
The Patriots are on the clock almost immediately when Round 4 begins at Noon ET and will have another shot to pick a player not long after.
They currently hold five picks in Rounds 4 through 7, but that can change with a few trades, which might happen.
Patriots have five picks in Rounds 4 - 7
- Round 4: No. 103, 110
- Round 5: N/A
- Round 6: No. 180
- Round 7: No. 193, 231
Recent history of Patriots Day Three picks:
Looking back in recent history at the Patriots later round picks, it's a bit of a sorry sight. Not including the 2023 Draft class, most, if not nearly all, of the players picked in the fourth round or beyond since 2019 are no longer on the team, and to make it worse, they didn't even last a season in New England.
Fortunately, there are a few that ended up being solid picks who are still contributing to the team. But let's hope the new regime has better luck this year.
Best Day Three picks of the last five year:

- 2022: CB Jack Jones
- 2021: RB Rhamondre Stevenson
- 2020: OT Mike Onwenu
- 2019: P Jake Bailey
