Round 2, Pick No. 34 - Keon Coleman WR (FSU)
Coleman was the Puka Nacua of the 2024 combine. Even though Coleman ran one of the slowest 40-yard times at the combine, he clocked up 20.36 mph when he ran the “gauntlet drill.” He went even faster when he hit 21.71 mph while running a go route. All of those times were without pads on, though.
But Coleman didn’t just demonstrate his speed at the combine, though. He also recorded a 38” standing jump, which isn’t exactly earth-shattering, but that man is 6 feet 4 inches tall. So, his catch radius is huge. Coleman also weighs 215 lbs., so he was never likely to leap as high as Malik Washington, who is 21 lbs. lighter than him.

Play speed vs timed speed:

Round 3, Pick No. 68 - Xavier Worthy WR (Texas)
Worthy lit the combine up, setting a new record for the 40-yard dash. He was timed at 4.21 seconds, 0.01 seconds faster than John Ross’ time from 2017!
The most remarkable part of Worthy’s sprint was that it looked like he could have run even faster. He didn’t get into his running until he hit the 23-yard mark!
Xaiver Worthy broke the NFL combine record with a 4.21-second forty yard dash.

Worthy reached a top speed of 24.41 mph during his 40-yard dash, the fastest speed of any player at this year's combine.
