The Patriots' decision to use all but one of their 2024 Draft picks on offensive players was met with universal approval. The offense has been the team's weakest area, and the Patriots had a great opportunity to dramatically improve the roster with their solid selections.

It brought on excitement amongst the fans, especially the choices of Drake Maye and Joe Milton III to completely makeover the quarterback room. Both were known for having strong arms to make impressive deep throws, something the quarterbacks of New England over the last few years have been lacking.

It had become a talking point when discussing the shortcomings of Mac Jones, who some believed couldn't make some of the deep passes necessary to move the chains.

Now that he's off to continue his career with the Jaguars and the Patriots have two new quarterbacks to work with, hope is restored that there is stronger talent on the roster for the season ahead.

That seemed to be proven correct on Monday's first day of OTAs. Maye and Milton had plenty of reps to share and easily demonstrated their incredible prowess.

Maye showed off his abilities in some early drills during practice, and he impressed not only because of the deep throw completion but also because of the ease with which he made it.

Not to be outdone, "Bazooka" Joe showed what he could do as well, casually completing a 60-yard pass like it was absolutely nothing. It proved even further why Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf couldn't pass up taking him in the sixth round, and so far, fans appreciate the decision.

It was a thrilling sight for most fans who were hoping the Patriots' next quarterback would be a more well-rounded offensive threat, which these two rookies look to have.

Their talent could put them in a much better position to compete when they take the field and make them have one of the more talented quarterback rooms in the entire league.

It can stay that way as long as we continue to see this type of production from them at practice, especially Milton, as he could oust Bailey Zappe to secure a spot on the roster, which looks like the path Mayo is ready to go down after OTAs.
