If the Patriots could add one non-quarterback from each of their AFC East rivals, who would they add to bolster the roster? With the AFC East being a marvelously talented division, this is a tough decision to make.

I added the criteria of a non-quarterback to make it harder and more interesting; like, obviously, we'd add Josh Allen to the Patriots if we could. That is just too easy. Let's take it a step further and pick one non-quarterback from each rival team to add to the Patriots.

If this were to happen, would this be enough for New England to make the playoffs and even make a large playoff run in 2023?

New York Jets - Garrett Wilson

You might give me some flak that I didn't decide to add Sauce Gardner or another stud on the Jets' roster, but I think Wilson is the best long-term bet for the Patriots to add if they could. Wilson was the 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year with 1,103 yards on 83 receptions, and he did that all as a 22-year-old player.

Adding a true WR1 to the offense would put the finishing touches on the offense as a whole. A WR room of Garrett Wilson, JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, Kayshon Boutte, and perhaps Tyquan Thornton would be deadly and would be a handful for opposing defenses to deal with.

Miami Dolphins - Jalen Ramsey

This was a super hard decision, man. The Miami Dolphins' roster is filled with an insane amount of talent from top to bottom, and I was tempted to go so many ways, but I've decided that the offense has enough with their pass catchers and have settled on one of the best cornerbacks of this generation in Ramsey.

Adding Ramsey opposite Christian Gonzalez, along with already having Kyle Dugger, Jalen Mills, Jon Jones, Jack Jones, and Jabrill Peppers in the secondary gives the Patriots the most complete unit in the entire NFL. The last time Bill Belichick had an elite CB to work with, he won the Defensive Player of the Year award, so I'd have confidence that the Pats' defense would be shutdown.

In that case, as long as the offense can be competent, this is a playoff team.

Buffalo Bills - Dion Dawkins

This one might surprise some, but I am opting for some rock-solid stability at one of the most important positions in professional sports at left tackle. I don't think Dawkins is one of the five or seven best tackles in football, but he's in the upper tier of that class and has been a consistent force for years.

He's missed just three games since being drafted back in 2017 and has played in 95 career regular season games, making two Pro Bowls over the last two seasons. He's also had the challenge of protecting a mobile quarterback in Josh Allen.

Dawkins is someone who could put the finishing touches on an elite offensive line in New England, and the likes of Riley Reiff and Trent Brown could battle it out for the right tackle spot.

Well, how did I do? Garrett Wilson, Jalen Ramsey, and Dion Dawkins are the three non-quarterbacks I'd add to the Patriots' roster.
