The three years Mac Jones spent with the Patriots were memorable in a multitude of ways, mainly for unfavorable reasons. After looking impressive during his rookie season, even leading the team to the playoffs, his career took a giant fall over the next two seasons, resulting in his eventual benching by Bill Belichick.

From the departure of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, with whom Jones clearly had a great working relationship, and dealing with Matt Patricia calling plays in 2022 to in-game outbursts and a toxic atmosphere in the locker room, it was a bad situation for all involved, some of which stemmed from Jones himself.

It created many enemies for the young quarterback around the league, but also a lot of fed-up fans due to his increasingly lousy attitude and what some believed were continuous excuses for bad play.

Unfortunately, some of that disdain came from his teammates, especially defensive players who were growing frustrated with pulling the weight of the entire team in hopes of not getting blown out every week. But it also angered former Patriots players, like Julian Edelman and Rob Ninkovich, who voiced their opinions about Jones throughout his New England tenure.

For the most part, they tried to remain as non-problematic as possible given their roles in the media. But all bets were off this past weekend for Ninkovich when discussing Jones and how he compares to Drake Maye on a new podcast episode.

Rob Ninkovich doesn't shy away from sharing his happiness that Mac Jones is no longer a Patriot

On the newest episode of the "Dan and Ninko Show," the longtime Patriots linebacker did not hesitate to air out his grievances about the Jaguars newest quarterback, so much so he even did an impression of Jones to send his point home.

Because he was part of some very good and memorable Patriots teams, two of which won Super Bowls, he has no patience for Jones's attitude while in Foxboro, especially during the 2023 season.

He took the opportunity to obliterate the quarterback in a short rant, expressing his complete opinion about Jones in a not-so-very 'Patriot way.'

Tell us how you really feel, Ninko!

As harsh as it might be, it doesn't appear to be a thought had by just Ninkovich. Other former Patriots might not express their opinion of Jones in the same way, but they have made it known they were fond of how he conducted himself as the Patriots quarterback.

Whether it's loyalty to Bill Belichick or simply a distaste for any player displaying that type of attitude, it's apparent that not just his former teammates are glad to see Jones furthering his career in the AFC South.
