As the list of quarterbacks turning down the opportunity to be featured on season two of Netflix's 'Quarterback' continues to grow one must ask; Could New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones be the next man up? It has just been reported by Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic-Baltimore that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has turned down the offer from the popular streaming service.
Lamar Jackson said Netflix reached out to him about their quarterback series and he was appreciative. But he’s focusing “on ball” right now.

Jackson is one of many quarterbacks around the league that have decided to turn down Netflix's offer. Recently, Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott also announced he would be turning down Netflix's offer. Prescott went on to say how he personally gets enough media and the Cowboys get enough coverage already.
Dak Prescott was approached twice about starring in the Netflix docuseries Quarterback. He turned them down for season one and season two-- here, he explains why.

With a list of quarterbacks already saying no to being a part of the second season, Peyton Manning and his 'Omaha Productions' might be scratching at the surface for any to say yes. The leading streaming provider has already renewed season two of 'Quarterback' after season one was an overwhelming success. According to the Sports Business Journal, the show has had the quickest start of any Netflix sports documentary series.
Doing the process of elimination, there are not too many options left that have not said no. The list of quarterbacks that have already said no includes Justin Fields, Jalen Hurts, Sam Howell, Matthew Stafford, Tua Tagovailoa, along with the two already mentioned earlier.
Also, if you look at season one's format of the show they had one elite quarterback (Patrick Mahomes), one mid-tier quarterback (Kirk Cousins), and one lower-end quarterback (Marcus Mariota). If the popular documentary sports series is planning to follow the same model, the Patriots quarterback could fall under two of those distinctions.
Prior to training camp, many Patriots fans were wondering if Mac Jones was the future quarterback of the organization. The young Patriots quarterback already has had immense pressure on his shoulders going into training camp. Even in the first few days of camp folks have already started the quarterback controversy. The last thing I think Jones needs at this point is a camera crew following him around for the entire season.
