4 perfect landing spots for Matthew Judon if the Patriots trade him
By Matt Sidney
Chicago Bears
Another NFC team that should look to pry Judon away from the Patriots is the Chicago Bears. On the surface, the Pats' and Bears' roster constructions and general franchise timelines may give an awfully similar vibe. Both franchises haven't done much winning recently, and both will field a rookie quarterback this season.
The difference is that the Bears seem to be accelerating the timeline while the Patriots are operating a bit slower. The Bears made some pretty big additions to their roster this offseason to bolster the reinforcements around Caleb Williams. The team traded for Keenan Allen and Brian Burnes this offseason. These win-now moves signal that they're going all-in while Williams is on his rookie deal.
Could this signal that more moves are on the way, such as a trade involving Judon? Who knows, but Judon and Burns would create a nightmare tandem for opposing quarterbacks, making it a great landing spot for him.
Detroit Lions
We won't spend much time discussing the Detroit Lions. The Lions are ready for the championship with a team stacked with talent. The only glaring issue that might need addressing is a pass-rusher opposite Aiden Hutchinson.
In this situation, the already talent-filled Lions bolster their roster by bringing in a top-notch pass rusher to create havoc alongside Hutchinson. The Lions are fully committed and should actively seek to enhance their roster with more talent.
A high draft pick or a few early-round picks could serve as a strong foundation for trade discussions.
