2. The 2024 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft might turn out to be the catalyst for the rebuild that we'll see the New England Patriots undergo next offseason. Depending on the coaching staff and if the Patriots hit on their draft picks, the team can get a year ahead of their rebuild, kind of like the Houston Texans this season.

They're 6-4 with a rookie QB and rookie head coach. If the Patriots can ace the draft and their next coaching staff, there is nothing stopping them from being where the Texans are in 2024. Currently, the Patriots hold the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and depending on how the first two picks shake out, the Patriots might see someone like UNC quarterback Drake Maye fall into their laps.

Their likely top-five pick may also allow them to trade down for more capital if they so choose. There's really a lot this team can do with their first two picks, and they could end up getting multiple franchise players with those picks. The 2024 NFL Draft is just five months away, and could be a very encouraing time for the franchise.
