Round 6, Pick 181: RB Rasheen Ali, Marshall

When you get into the later rounds of the NFL draft, you typically look for value or potential. In this instance, we are going for both. Enter Rasheen Ali, a running back out of Marshall. Ali is an elite athlete. He is speed all the way through. Like the Xavier Worthy pick, Ali provides the Patriots with speed they currently do not possess.

Speed is not all Ali possesses, though. He also has elite agility, soft enough hands, and innate route-running skills that could make him a stud out of the backfield in the passing game. Screens and quick throws out to the flat will be his bread and butter, and he will feast on matchups against bigger, slower linebackers.

Ali has "steal" written all over him. A combination of Ray Davis and Rasheen Ali is dangerous. Ali has twice rushed over 1,100 yards and caught over 200 yards in college. He brings a dynamism that the Patriots find incredibly valuable in the sixth round.
