The New England Patriots went into their Week 12 matchup against the Bengals with most believing they would dominate in every way, as the impressive Drake Maye-led offense faced one of the historically worst defenses the league had ever seen.
Although that didn't ultimately happen, they were able to walk out with their ninth-straight win, but at the cost of losing some valuable players across the team.
Among the most notable injuries was rookie starting left tackle Will Campbell, who was carted to the locker room late in the game, prompting many to believe the absolute worst about his impending future.
Luckily, he is said to have sustained only an MCL sprain. Mike Vrabel announced he will be placed on injured reserve as of Wednesday afternoon, meaning Campbell will be sidelined for at least four games, with a chance to return for the playoffs.

It's not the best news that could come out as they prepare for their last primetime game of the season, but it's certainly not the worst, either.
Will Campbell is headed to IR, putting a lot of pressure on the rest of the Patriots o-line to step things up
Based on how serious Campbell's injury looked this past Sunday, it's a relief that he didn't suffer something that was season-ending. It's not great that he will be out for at least four games, especially since he's impressed this season and will miss a few tough matchups.
However, if the Patriots are heading toward the playoffs, which is what their future looks like right now, it's better that he miss time now and be ready to go for those important games instead.
The hope is that he will get the rest he needs, that the rehab will fast-track him back before the season is over, and that the depth the Patriots are fortunate to have on the offensive line will be good enough in his absence.
Because they are the same players who were starters last year, they are familiar with how Drake Maye operates, and it should be an easy transition for the quarterback to deal with one game day, even if they are also down starter Jared Wilson.
It's crucial that the offensive line does not dictate the team's fate moving forward, or their playoff chances could suddenly become a bust.
