One of the best parts of the New England Patriots' 2025 season has been their luck in avoiding major injuries to their most important players. Although they have lost DT Milton Williams for at least four games, they have been fortunate not to lose more starters this season, even with a Week 14 bye.
But that luck appears to have come to an abrupt end in their game against the Bengals, as the team now seems to be plagued by the injury bug across the board.
Special teams star Brenden Schooler has already been ruled out with an ankle injury, along with starting offensive lineman Jared Wilson, who was carted to the locker room after the first drive.
Since then, Khyiris Tonga has exited the game with a chest injury, Morgan Moses temporarily left the game due to an illness, and now Will Campbell has suffered what might be a serious injury.

The hits to the offensive line are tragic, but the possibility of some of these players being sidelined for more than just today's game would be a devastating blow to the Patriots' playoff chances.
The Patriots have been hit hard with the injury bug against the Bengals
While it's never a good thing for any player on the game day roster to suffer an injury and miss time, it's more brutal when they are integral starters in all phases of the game.
That's particularly true with the offensive line, which has been one of the most consistent groups on the entire team this season. Seeing both Campbell and Wilson go down with injuries and be carted to the locker room is not a great sign of what's to come, and their absences could force a drastic change in the offensive line.
Patriots injury announcement: LT Will Campbell, knee.

Although the severity of their injuries is not known yet, the fact they were carted to the locker room, with Campbell keeping a towel over his head to seemingly hide his distress, is never a good sign.
Considering just how good both rookies have been this year, it will be difficult for the Patriots to find the right replacements. Let's hope they didn't suffer anything too serious, and maybe a couple of weeks off will be enough.
UPDATE:
Campbell wasn't initially ruled out upon leaving the field, as he was immediately deemed questionable. But the Patriots announced he will not return with just under five minutes left to play in the game.
That's more bad news for hoping it's not a serious injury.
