We're officially less than a week out from the New England Patriots taking on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, and analysts are making their picks for who they feel will leave Santa Clara the winner. Unfortunately for the 6-time Super Bowl Champions, it's not them.
Nearly every notable analyst across the NFL world has already bet that the Seahawks will walk out with another Lombardi Trophy, creating even more bulletin board material for Mike Vrabel and the Patriots than they already had.
It's unsurprising that they're being overlooked, as they almost always were, even when Bill Belichick and Tom Brady were running things in Foxborough. But given the gauntlet of teams they went through in the playoffs, especially compared to the teams the Seahawks faced, it's incredible that they're not viewed as a legitimate threat.
That's not the case in the eyes of one former Patriot turned CBS analyst, Rob Gronkowski, who is hoping to break his years-long curse regarding his Super Bowl pick. And Patriots fans hope so, too, after hearing his latest prediction.
Rob Gronkowski is hoping he's finally not wrong with his Super Bowl pick
During an appearance on The Tonight Show last week, Gronkowski shared his thoughts on his longtime team making it back to the Super Bowl, and went against the grain by choosing them to beat the Seahawks on February 8.
Although it's great to hear his support for the team he retired with last year, his record of picking incorrectly makes it superstitiously concerning that he chose New England.

You, of course, have to believe in jinxes to give any real thought to his previous three picks being wrong and that somehow interfering with picking the Patriots this year.
However, as one of the very few actually voicing their support for the Patriots, any potential jinx energy is not wanted or needed, and fans (as well as the team) thrive on being dismissed and overlooked.
That will ultimately be what they're dealing with in the days leading up to the game, anyway, because the Seahawks have been favored by at least 4.5 points since the moment they beat the Rams in the NFC Championship.
The Patriots are not viewed as a real threat to what Sam Darnold and Seattle are doing on either side of the ball, despite how well their offense played during the regular season and their defense locking down some powerful offenses in the playoffs.
At this point, it's fine, and support from guys like Gronkowski is nice. But if that's all the support they'll get, it's no sweat off their back because proving everyone wrong is almost as good as taking home another Lombardi Trophy.
