The Patriots' 2025 season has been filled with impressive play from several players who dominate headlines after every game for all the right reasons. Most of the conversation has, of course, surrounded Drake Maye's second-year jump, but he's not the only player on the offense who has put together a noteworthy season so far.
Joining the quarterback is rookie left tackle Will Campbell, who went into the season with high expectations, given his draft status and just how good he was during his days at LSU. He was given the start right away and, after a bumpy first two games, has become a massive part of the offense's success over the first eight games.
He endured perhaps his toughest test yet when lining up across Myles Garrett on Sunday, and although he didn't have the best performance of his career, he still managed to play at a high level.
Patriots OL stats in Week 8:

LT: Will Campbell — 2 sacks, 3 pressures
LG: Jared Wilson — 1 sack, 2 pressures
C: Garrett Bradbury — 1 pressure
RG: Mike Onwenu — 2 pressures
RT: Morgan Moses — 4 pressures
His stat line might not be the best, as he is responsible for two of the six sacks allowed by the offense.
However, that didn't prevent Garrett from praising the rookie after the game, even though he got the upper hand more often than Campbell would have liked.
Myles Garrett didn't hesitate to credit Will Campbell for his performance in Week 8
The Browns' future Hall of Famer was on a roll in Sunday's matchup, recording five sacks on his own and officially setting a franchise record with his performance.
It was a rough showing for what has otherwise been a stout offensive line for the Patriots, yet Campbell still managed to get a shoutout from Garrett after the game. Considering just how good he is at his craft, his praise is certainly something Campbell should be thrilled to hear.
Browns DE Myles Garrett on Patriots LT Will Campbell: "He’s strong. You want to set the tempo and the pace of the game with power. He was able to be pretty firm in his stance and keep me from knocking him back, and just trying to hit him with different looks, try to keep him off…

Despite being labeled a "Welcome to the NFL" type of game for Campbell, he still managed not to let Garrett get the best of him for the entirety of the game. Any concerns about his short arms or his readiness for the NFL were not evident on the field, further proving he can become a future franchise star for the team.
He has plenty to learn and to improve upon, and lining up against one of the best the NFL has ever seen will certainly help him accomplish that. Not to mention, hearing Garrett's review of his performance will only make that easier.
