The Patriots are set to welcome the Rams to Gillette Stadium in Week 11 for the first time since the 2016 season, having played in Los Angeles during their last two meetings in the years since. Both teams hope to put together a better second half of the season than the first, with the Rams still eyeing a playoff push in the NFC after a tough loss to the Dolphins last Monday night.

On the other hand, the Patriots are coming off an unexpected win over the Chicago Bears, who are experiencing the opposite of what most believed their season would be over the last few weeks, especially with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams impressing early on.

Although New England's season has been far from ideal from a winning standpoint, they're (surprisingly) not eliminated from the playoffs just yet. But that's not a focus for most during the 2024 season, as the development of Drake Maye and the rest of the young players on the roster is most important for the future.

Adding another win over the Rams on Sunday would keep morale up and prove the team is improving under Jerod Mayo and the new regime. That has been questioned a lot during this season, as the defense has underperformed, and much of the season has been disappointing.

They could set the tone for the remainder of the season by shutting down a very talented Rams offense, which might be a little easier with Christian Barmore back in the lineup and could put future opponents on notice with a solid win over the Super Bowl LVI Champions.
