For much of their playoff run, the Patriots faced unfavorable weather in Foxborough and Denver, making it difficult for the offense to do much. That has prompted nearly all analysts to place bets on the Seahawks to walk out of Super Bowl LX as the winners, even though Drake Maye was a runner-up in the MVP race, and for good reason.

Fortunately, the weather shouldn't dominate the conversation for the big game, and it shouldn't affect how either team fares in its effort to win the next Lombardi Trophy.

The current forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low to mid-60s at the start and during the game, making it the best weather the Patriots have played in since late November.

That's a disaster for the Seahawks, who avoided chaotic conditions on their road to the Championship, as Maye played some of his best football when the weather was nearly perfect.

In the weeks leading to the Super Bowl, there has been a lot of effort by analysts and opposing fans to dismiss what the Patriots have done, with a particular focus on diminishing what Maye accomplished in his second season.

While it's not entirely unexpected for Patriots' rivals to make up foolish reasons to downplay what the team and their quarterback did, it's unfathomable to hear it from analysts, who are paid to watch games and are very aware of how he played during the regular season, which ultimately led the Patriots to a 14-3 record.

Not only that, but Maye only fell behind Matthew Stafford in MVP voting, losing by just five points or one first-place vote.

His performance throughout the regular season was impressive in his first season as the full-time starter, with a new coaching staff and an almost entirely new offense around him. He put up numbers that rivaled some of the best quarterbacks in the league, and although his playoff stats weren't the best, he did what needed to be done to get them to the Super Bowl.

Seeing that the weather is going to be favorable for both teams is not great news for the Seahawks, who were probably hoping to benefit from an external factor to knock Maye down a peg or two in this game.

Now they'll have to rely on something else, probably their defense, to make it difficult on the Pro Bowler, or they might be preparing to face a masterclass in quarterbacking on Sunday afternoon.
