There are three players the Patriots should target in the first round of the NFL Draft at No. 14 overall to immediately help Mac Jones. New England endured a poor offensive season last year, but luckily this is a talent-rich draft.

If the Patriots do improve the playmakers around Jones, then their current Super Bowl odds of +6000 will prove to be an incredible value. It makes sense to lock in a Patriots futures bet now, especially considering Caesars Sportsbook’s amazing promo: up to $1,250 in bet insurance!

3 NFL Draft Prospect Patriots Should Target

Broderick Jones, OT – Georgia

Mac Jones was sacked 34 times this season, and the Patriots need to shore up their offensive line to maximize Jones’ potential. Broderick Jones is a hulking tackle with great athleticism and room to improve. He’d make perfect sense as a first-round target for New England to secure a cornerstone left tackle.

Jones would not only give Mac more time to throw, but it’d also give Rhamondre Stevenson more running lanes and improve the Patriots’ offense as a whole.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR – Ohio State

Smith-Njigba is one of my favorite players in this draft and he’d immediately provide a spark to New England’s offense. He put up 1,606 yards with nine TDs his sophomore year despite sharing the field with first-round picks Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave.

A dynamic athlete who could line up anywhere on the field, Smith-Njigba would pair well with Jakobi Meyers to finally give Jones real weapons to throw to.

Jordan Addison, WR – USC

The Patriots might prefer a wideout like Addison, who has been one of the nation’s most effective receivers for the last several years. Overall, Addison totaled 219 catches for 3,134 yards and 29 TDs across three seasons.

His best year was at Pittsburgh in 2021, when he had 100 catches for 1,593 yards and 17 TDs. Wide receiver is the Patriots’ biggest need, and they need to make a sizeable investment in the position this offseason to give Jones some help.
