We’ve all seen the ridiculous promos and weeks of talking-head debates, and the big day is finally nearing. Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be making the trip to Foxborough to take on Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots for the first time since their divorce.

While Brady gets the luxury of coming to town as a member of the defending champions with some extra motivation after a Week 3 loss, New England faces the very real prospect of going 1-3 to start the year, as Mac Jones and the offense struggled in a home loss against the Saints.

Nonetheless, there are ingredients for an upset here. The Rams showed that this team is not invincible, and if anyone knows how Brady thinks when he’s in the pocket, it’s the guy who was his coach for two decades.

Will that knowledge help the Patriots pull off what should be a monumental upset and start the season off with a solid 2-2 mark? Or will New England crash and burn as Brady rides off into the sunset with a W in hand?

Patriots vs Buccaneers odds Week 4

According to our friends at WynnBet, the Bucs are favored -290 on the money line (bet $290 to win $100), while the Pats come in at +230 (bet $100 to win $230). If you prefer to bet the spread, Tampa Bay has -115 (bet $115 to win $100) odds to cover -6.5, while New England has -105 (bet $105 to win $100) odds to make up that +6.5 difference.

The over/under for Sunday’s game is set at 49, with the over getting -105 (bet $105 to win $100) odds and the under coming in at -115 (bet $115 to win $100).

Patriots vs Buccaneers Prediction Week 4

Even if you take Brady out of the equation, this Tampa team is loaded, with impact playmakers at nearly every position. On defense, it wouldn’t be hyperbolic to expect at least one defensive lineman, linebacker, and defensive back to go to the Pro Bowl. That’s a lot for Jones to contend with.

Jones showed last week against New Orleans that if he holds the ball behind an underperforming offensive line, trouble can happen. All Tampa Bay has at their disposal is arguably the best defensive line in the game. No biggie.

Jones and Damien Harris might be able to control the game for a period of time, but the level of talent that Tampa Bay has might just wear New England down. Expect Brady to get the better of Belichick as he returns to Foxborough and comes away with the victory in primetime.
