Patriots QB Cam Newton got into a scuffle with the Dolphins at the end of the game.

Cam Newton handled the Miami Dolphins in his debut for the New England Patriots and carried the team to a 21-11 victory. He was the team’s leading rusher with 15 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns and he also threw for 155 yards on 15-of-19 passing.

Perhaps that got the Dolphins defense worked up. They had no answer for Newton, and up until two months ago, they probably thought they’d finally be able to handle the Patriots with Tom Brady gone.

Not quite! Cam is now in town, and if you think you’re going to ruffle this guy’s feathers, try again! This postgame scuffle featured Newton not backing down for a second when a Dolphins defender came at him.

A bit before that, we saw Newton and Dolphins linebacker Kyle Van Noy (formerly of the Pats!) exchanging words, but this incident right here is with defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, who appeared to rip Newton’s chain off his neck. The Pats QB had to be restrained by Julian Edelman and Rex Burkhead.

The best part about this, though? Newton trolled Wilkins after the game when speaking to the media.

Got ’em! Pats fans were patiently waiting for the postgame outfits and zingers, and they got both of those on Sunday after the team’s first win of the year. Didn’t think it would take long for Cam to get comfortable, did ya?

We got more good news, too. Cam happily reported the Dolphins unsuccessfully snagged his chain. Maybe try again in Week 15, guys!

The Dolphins did their best to make Cam look bad in some other fashion, since they failed to do so on the field. He’s not one to forget. He’ll remember this for the next matchup, and head coach Brian Flores isn’t going to like the result.

Again.
