Sean Payton wishes ex-Patriots QB Tom Brady would lose his email address.

Just because Tom Brady has left the New England Patriots does not mean he’s lost his hustle — and that goes doubly on the marketing side of things.

The TB12 brand is alive and well in the NFC South, as Brady’s side gig has now migrated to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And after two decades of owning the AFC East’s head coaches with his relentlessness on the field, he’s now taken to owning his new rivals with a similar dogged attitude in his personal endeavors.

According to Saints head coach Sean Payton on a conference call prior to his team’s Week 1 matchup with the Bucs, Brady somehow got his personal information this offseason, and has been spamming his email address all summer long with special offers.

As Payton put it to the gathered media, via ESPN reporter Jenna Laine:

"“Tom’s got that whole TB12 line. He had me buying the water in the offseason and it was fantastic,” Payton said. “Only the emails don’t stop coming. And I told him, ‘Can you stop sending me emails?’ And then he purposely went to the company and now they’re doubled. Every morning I wake up, I’ve gotta erase about 15 TB12 emails.”"

Look, many businesses are struggling to adjust to the future right now after a Q2 unlike any other. Can we really look down upon Brady for redoubling his efforts to hook Payton? The man said he enjoyed the water, after all.

With all due respect to the GOAT, though, it appears he has more to worry about this weekend than making a sale. Brady’s Bucs are the underdog against Payton’s Saints, marking the first time the quarterback’s team has seen a line like that since 2015.

Time to double up your own efforts to hydrate there, kid. The Saints defense is coming, and they’re not going to get distracted by a two-for-one coupon.
