Patriots wideout Julian Edelman posted an awesome photoshopped pic with Cam Newton on IG.

If you’re a New England Patriots fan and lover of The Dark Knight, then you’re going to love what Julian Edelman just posted to Instagram.

Though there’s been some mystery surrounding the veteran wide receiver in regards to an injury he suffered in training camp, he’s been getting in work with new QB Cam Newton in side sessions.

That’s in addition to all the offseason work these two put in leading up to camp as they look to develop a rapport after all the roster turnover the Patriots experienced over the last few months.

Now, apparently Edelman is so “tight” with Newton that he just posted a superhero-themed picture on Instagram featuring Newton as Superman (SuperCam!) and Edelman as Batman … with the Patriots logo as the Bat Signal. Let’s. GO!

And he quoted The Dark Knight! Once again, the rest of the NFL has been put on notice. You too, ESPN! How dare you put the Patriots that low in your power rankings…

Edelman’s clearly been pleased with Newton’s arrival based on all the good things he’s had to say about the former MVP. The relationship is taking some extra work, but that’s no problem for the 34-year-old.

"“We’re still trying to get to know each other,’’ Edelman told The Boston Globe. “Just like I am with all my new teammates, but specifically with a guy that distributes the football, just kind of getting to know each other as people on the field, off the field. Trying to build a rapport. That’s what I’m doing also with Hoy and Stid, but those guys have been around. It’s been one of those things where I have to catch up with Cam.‘’"

Throw in the praise head coach Bill Belichick has had for Newton, and the Patriots are about to have a good situation on their hands despite Tom Brady’s departure (and even better, a new bromance between Newton and Edelman).

With Superman and Batman, expect the Patriots offense to shake off the cobwebs from 2019 and burst onto the scene once Newton is fully acclimated to the system.
