Whether you believe it or not, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is actually really funny.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is regularly portrayed in the media as a notoriously crabby man who is impossible to please, and understandably so. Even after wins, the six-time champion finds it impossible to show anything resembling relief or happiness.

However, countless Patriots players have come forward through the years to assert that the seemingly grumpy 68-year-old is actually quite the jokester, and no offense, but we’ll believe it when we see it. “Do your job” is the least funny phrase of all time, and it’s the only example we have of our coach…talking, basically.

Well, Pats Nation, have we got a podcast for you!

The new “Sports Uncovered” podcast series from NBC Sports aims to shed light on Belichick’s lighthearted alter ego, and the initial reviews indicate that it hit on its ambition.

Even the most tenacious Patriots haters can admit that they are fascinated with the mystery behind Belichick’s life outside of the gridiron (who’s that dog and why is he drafting?!), and this new pod suggests he’s quite the comedian.

In retrospect, it kind of makes sense. After all, would a guy that has no personality whatsoever sign on to shoot a commercial for Subway? No way. Even if all he did was bite a sandwich, that counts as solid evidence that the most decorated coach in NFL history is a man of the people.

Per NBC Sports, the new series includes interviews with some of the future Hall of Famer’s entourage, including Rodney Harrison, Charlie Weis, Rob Ninkovich, Willie McGinest and many more.
