Logan Mankins was a staple in the offensive line for nine years

Logan Mankins became a Buccaneer before it was cool. He spent the last two years of his career down in Tampa Bay after he was traded there at the start of the 2014 season.

Before that, however, he spent nine years in New England, amassed six Pro Bowls in Foxborough, and was a First-team All-Pro in 2010. Belichick’s philosophy has always been “get rid of the player before they get bad,” and Mankins was no exception.

In 2014, he was traded to Tampa Bay for undrafted converted tight end Tim Wright and a fourth-round pick that later became Trey Flowers. Wright did help New England win a Super Bowl in 2014 and caught six touchdowns, and Flowers had significant contributions in Super Bowl 51 and 53.

Mankins also had good years down in Florida, even making the Pro Bowl in his final year.

Logan Mankins was a stud in the Patriots offensive line for nearly a decade. The big man certainly deserved a ring on his finger.
