The New England Patriots improved their record in the 2019 NFL season to 10-1 after a 13-9 victory over the Dallas Cowboys Sunday evening.

This game was not an easy victory, as the weather affected both teams and made it difficult for either offense to put points up on the board. The rain fell hard and the wind was blowing in all directions, and as a result of the terrible weather conditions, the game became a battle of the defenses.

Both offenses struggled mightily at times and even though both seem to get going on occasion, the defense stepped up to stop drives in their tracks. A total of 22 points were scored in four quarters of play.

In the end, the New England Patriots made a handful of plays more than the Cowboys. This win keeps them atop the AFC and the AFC East as they try to stay one game up on the Ravens when it comes to the playoffs. The Cowboys, on the other hand, still remain one game ahead of the Eagles in the NFC East.

Earlier, there were four keys – or “4 Downs” – we identified for fans to keep an eye on if the Patriots were going to be victorious against the Cowboys. Let’s see how they did.
