In a promo for Thursday’s night edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Patriots quarterback Tom Brady shatters Matt Damon’s window with a football pass.

The calendar stretch between the NFL Draft and the start of the regular season is arguably the most boring period of time for a football fan all year. The draft is over, most of free agency has quieted down, and there’s not much to follow or look forward to other than training camp and preseason games… if those are your things, that is.

Thankfully, a number of high-profile Patriots players – both past and present – are taking steps to make sure we’re entertained during the slowest part of the NFL offseason.

Center David Andrews is regaling reporters with his thoughts and opinions on the popular HBO fantasy drama series “Game of Thrones.” Retired tight end Rob Gronkowski is giving out rap awards, dancing on national television, and pretending to be a security guard. And star quarterback Tom Brady is… breaking windows in the houses of famous actors?

Brady shared a video Thursday on his Twitter feed in which he’s walking along the sidewalk of a beautiful Beverly Hills neighborhood with TV show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Guillermo Rodriguez. Kimmel stops suddenly at a house, points up at a second-story window, and challenges the 41-year-old quarterback to see if he can throw a football through it.

For Tom Terrific, the dare is a piece of cake, and he bulls-eyes a perfect pass into the center of the windowpane, shattering it instantly.

Lo and behold, a confused and agitated Matt Damon (who of course is a major Patriots fan) comes running out of the house to find out what just happened and who threw the football that broke the window in “his house.” Kimmel plays dumb about not knowing it was Damon’s house; Damon angrily approaches Kimmel about the damage; Guillermo and Brady silently look on.

Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel, of course, have been “feuding” now for years on the popular ABC talk show. It’s the latest gag in a long-running bit that pits the two celebrities against one another, but Brady’s inclusion in it is a new twist.

“I really didn’t want to get in the middle of this…” Brady wrote in a caption for the video tweet.

It’s unclear if Damon will actually appear on Thursday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but Brady reportedly will be featured as a guest. Those curious about Damon might just have to tune in to find out.

In the meantime, if you happen to be a New England fan living on the West Coast – and especially if you live in a nice neighborhood – you might want to watch out if you see Brady, Kimmel, and Rodriguez walking down your street anytime soon.
