1. Will defense let another offense run the field?

The New England Patriots defense has struggled a lot this season especially in the second half. The defense put a lot of pressure on the Bears offense but just could not finish the job when it counted.

The New England Patriots defense let the Bears’ offense run the ball and throw the ball effectively. They gave up 319 yards in the air and two passing touchdowns to Mitchell Tribusky, who had a good game.

On the ground, the Chicago Bears ran over the New England Patriots defense compiling 134 yards and 2 touchdowns. Trubisky excelled here as well, rushing for 81 yards and one more score. He led Chicago in rushing yards.

But it was not all bad for the New England Patriots defense. Dont’a Hightower blocked a punt which resulted in a Kyle Van Noy touchdown.

Also, even though some defensive backs had a tough time in coverage, Jonathan Jones had an interception. This was a good sign for a defense who had been struggling the last few weeks.
