Recent Patriots rumors are that quarterback Tom Brady has yet to commit to playing in the upcoming 2018 season.

With the NFL Draft just over a week away, recent Patriots rumors have been about who the team will be selecting in the draft. With four picks in the first two rounds, the Patriots are in a nice position to restock their roster with some talented young players.

However, recent reports are that quarterback Tom Brady has yet to commit to playing in the 2018 season. This is somewhat surprising to hear, as it was widely expected that Brady will be playing for the Patriots in 2018, as the team decided to trade his potential successor in Jimmy Garoppolo during the season.

While he hasn’t reportedly committed, it is believed that he will be playing next season.

Last season, Brady had one of the best years of his career, as he was able to win the MVP award. While he didn’t win his sixth Super Bowl, he was able to throw for over 500 yards in the game, as the Patriots losing wasn’t his fault at all.

Even though it is a bit concerning that Brady hasn’t committed to playing this season yet, it would be shocking if he didn’t suit up for the Patriots. With the lack of commitment from Brady, this only makes it more likely that the Patriots will be taking a quarterback very early in the NFL Draft.

With two first-round picks, the Patriots could decide to use one of them to take a quarterback. Even though they won’t be in a position to take one of the top four projected quarterbacks, they are going to be in range to select a player like Lamar Jackson or Mason Rudolph.

This will certainly be something to monitor, but it would be shocking not to see Brady as the quarterback for the Patriots next season.
