In Week 13 of the fantasy football season, what can owners expect from New England Patriots wide receiver Brandin Cooks?

As the 2017 fantasy football season rolls on, many leagues are either in the playoffs or entering them soon. With points being extremely important for owners right now, everyone one counts and setting the proper lineup is very important.

One player that has been very good for his fantasy owners is Brandin Cooks of the New England Patriots. As one of the biggest offseason acquisitions for New England, Cooks has lived up to the hype as being one of the best deep threats in the league.

So far in 2017, Cooks has totaled 51 receptions, 869 receiving yards, and five receiving touchdowns. Barring an injury, Cooks is going to blow past 1,000 receiving yards in his first year with New England.

Recently, Cooks and Tom Brady have really been on the same page. In the last three games, Cooks has totaled six receptions in each game and has been targeted an average of nine times per game. During that span, Cooks has totaled 306 receiving yards and two touchdown receptions.

Seeing Cooks develop some consistency in the last few weeks is certainly encouraging for owners, as one bad week could result in getting knocked out of the playoffs at this points.

In Week 13, Cooks will be looking to continue his great season, as the Patriots face the Buffalo Bills. So far this season, the Bills have been in the middle of the road in terms of fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.

Next: Six players to watch in Week 13

With the Patriots’ offense rolling, it doesn’t appear like the Bills’ defense is going to be the one to slow them down. Even though there are plenty of weapons in New England, Cooks is right there with Rob Gronkowski as one of the top options for Brady. In Week 13, expect to see another solid week from Cooks.

Week 13 fantasy projection: 6 receptions, 90 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown.
