New England Patriots do not need to fear the 2017 Denver Broncos
By Nick Ziegler
In Week 10, the New England Patriots will be heading to Denver to square off with the Broncos. Should they be concerned?
Coming off their bye week, the New England Patriots will be facing the Denver Broncos on the road for what feels like the 10th straight season. Historically, Denver has not been kind to the Patriots.
Due to a great home-field advantage and a good defense, the Broncos have been a problem for New England. However, the Patriots were able to get a big win on the road in Denver last season. Despite the Broncos defense playing well, the Patriots were up to the task on their way to a perfect season on the road.
This season, the Patriots will be heading into the Mile High City with a 6-2 record and on top the AFC East. Despite a good start for the Broncos this season, they have fallen on hard times. Getting production from the quarterback position has been nearly impossible for the Broncos, and their defense has certainly taken a step back from when they won the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning.
Despite really struggling of late, the history of Brady and the Patriots’ struggles in Denver have led many to believe that this will be a challenging game. However, as losers of four straight games, the Patriots should respect, but not fear the Broncos this season.
On offense, Denver is a complete mess. Last week, Brock Osweiler was once again the starting quarterback for Denver, but that change certainly didn’t help them against the Philadelphia Eagles. As one of the top teams in the NFL, the Eagles rolled the Broncos by a score of 51-23.
The Broncos have played much better at home this season, but they did have a really disappointing loss to the New York Giants in their most recent home game. This is certainly a different team than the one we saw win three straight home games to start the season.

While the Patriots have had some issues in Denver, they shouldn’t be worried about this Denver team too much. As long as they protect Brady properly against Von Miller, this should be an easy win for New England.
