The New England Patriots have had a very good offseason, but that doesn’t mean that they might not add a few veterans. Who would be a perfect fit?

After winning the Super Bowl last season, the New England Patriots have arguably won the offseason as well.

Generally, the Patriots aren’t a team that makes big signings in free agency. However, this offseason they went out a signed Stephon Gilmore to a massive deal. Gilmore is a big cornerback that the Patriots like, and he should help make the defense even better in 2017.

In addition to adding Gilmore in the secondary, the Patriots also decided not to move Malcolm Butler in the offseason. There were plenty of trade rumors surrounding Butler this offseason, but he appears to be staying in New England for now.

Even though the Patriots might have one of the best duos at cornerback in the NFL, that might not stop them from adding a veteran in the secondary. Recently, Dan Graziano of ESPN.com named the best fits for some of the top remaining veterans on the free agent market. For the Patriots, he believes that Darrelle Revis would be a great fit. Here’s what he had to say about a possible reunion.

"Revis was cut by the Jets and might have to move to safety at this point in his career. He could be someone whose pedigree lands him one more shot … perhaps in a familiar place?Best fit: New England Patriots. Hey, it worked once."

It wasn’t too long ago that Revis helped the Patriots win a Super Bowl a few seasons ago. After being offered a massive contract by the Jets, Revis decided to go back to New York.

Even though it wasn’t a good season for Revis in New York as their No.1 cornerback, Revis can still play at the NFL level. Some have questioned whether or not he wants to, but a possible reunion with the Patriots isn’t a far-fetched idea.
