Recently-inducted New England Patriots Hall of Famer Kevin Faulk is of the belief that Tom Brady will stay sharp during his suspension by calling on a pair of old favorite targets.

While speaking with Larrey Ridley of NESN, Faulk let the world know that he envisions Brady working out with Wes Welker and Randy Moss during the month of September. Here are a few things Faulk mentioned:

"He’ll probably do the same regimen that he’s been doing for the last however many years he’s been playing football, stay in that routine. And yes, I’m almost positive Wes Welker’s going to be here. He probably will reach out to Randy, and Randy will come, because Randy’s still in good shape. Real good shape."

Huh. Might this happen?

Welker has yet to join a new NFL team since bottoming out with the (then St. Louis) Rams last season. It’s safe to say that between the innumerable head injuries, noticeable slowness and age, Welker is not going to land with another team in this lifetime.

As for Moss, he certainly maintains his shape and would probably love to help out his old quarterback. Moss never left New England on account of a feud with Brady, mind you; in fact, the two were very close as teammates.

If Brady were to contact one of these guys to play catch, Moss should be the first call. Then Welker.

Other former teammates Brady may want to get in touch with include Deion Branch, David Patten, David Givens and Chad Ochocinco. Look, there are no shortage of pass catchers whose careers have been greatly benefited by Brady’s greatness; maybe some of them will feel compelled to help out there old quarterback in his time of need.
