Expectations of third-year Patriots players
1. Bryan Stork
2014 stats: 13 games, 11 starts
2015 stats: eight games, six starts
You won’t find a football player who had a better winning spell spanning from 2014 to 2015 than Stork. After captaining Florida State to a national title as a senior, Stork entered the NFL and was the missing piece to the Patriots’ offensive line puzzle when he stepped-in as the starting center after the Monday Night Football embarrassment against the Kansas City Chiefs.
6 WR prospects Patriots should consider in 2016 NFL Draft
However, Stork’s sophomore season got off to a rocky start when he was placed on the PUP list. Even when he returned in Week 7, Stork didn’t start, as undrafted rookie David Andrews was killing it as the starter.
2016 expectations: 14 games, 10 starts
The smart money is on Stork regaining his starting role in training camp, although the above expectation takes into account the possibility of Andrews starting if injuries occur at guard (where Stork played sparingly in 2015).
