The 2016 NFL Draft is fast approaching, and at first glance, you would think it’s not going to be the most exciting day for New England Patriots fans because they don’t have a first round pick. But that’s just not true.

Comparing Patriots’ 2007 and 2016 offseasons

Super Bowls aren’t won in the offseason, but in the months since their loss in the 2015 AFC Championship, the Patriots have been masterful in their personnel management. They’ve shredded deadweight, planned ahead for the 2017 salary cap by trading Chandler Jones and bolstered depth across the board.
